Seven’s prime time line-up propelled it into first place last night, with US import Once Upon a Time and summer special Better Homes and Gardens continuing to gain good numbers.

The fairytale drama attracted 720,000 to see it rate first among the non-news and current affairs offerings.

Better Homes and Gardens brought in 712,000 viewers, meanwhile, to marginally outrank Nine’s Big Bang Theory, which secured an even 700,000.

Seven News came first with 1,111,000, followed by Nine News on 1,095,000.

Today Tonight and A Current Affair scored 971,000 and 920,000 respectively.

Overall, Seven took out a 26.1% share, followed by Nine on 24.5%, Ten on 21.2%, ABC on 19.2% and SBS on 8.4%, according to the OzTam preliminary ratings report.
